The plumbing is finished for the time being, finally got it leak free and with a good flow.
Well the plans now stand that this weekend I'm going to crack on with making my step and cut out the hatches to keep a eye on the bilges, also going to make under the stairs into a cupboard.
Least the weather is on the up.....

No more holiday (if you can call it that)...
Well today was my final day after 2weeks worth of work on the boat. Back to work tomorrow, but I have finished a few jobs in the last couple of day. The front hatch cover is now re-sealed and I also sealed up around the funnel. The plumbing is almost complete, just waiting on a few parts now then can be connected up and turned on (chewing of finger nails) so hopefully all will be good and I will have fresh water on board. Now going to be on evening and weekends on the boat in between running my garage so jobs will slow up abit but as soon as the aft cabin is clear I will be cracking on getting that painted and the flooring down.

Today's antics....
Today had been a bit of a rounding up lose ends day.
The last 2 sections of flooring have been completed, the bilges have been pumped out and the counter top above the water tank has been removed ready to grind the inlet pipe off ready for the plumbing. I also relocated the main consumer box and 24v transformer down into the engine room so the wheel house is a bit less cluttered. Tomorrows plans are to get the plumbing materials, seal the roof hatch and screw the remaining flooring down, then crack on with running the copper pipes.

Beginning to the (temporary) end....
The plumbing is under way, a lot more difficult then what it looks, but we are getting there. Also got the last two boards in for the kitchen floor and can look forward now to making the step. Also got to get a few leaks sealed up then should be fairly water tight. I have removed the steps today going down into the forward cabin which has free'd up a bit of space.
It's starting to come togther.

Hmmm..
Apologies about the last post, it was from a while ago and has only decided to upload now....... Call me cooky call me wacky....
Sore hands and back....
It's been a busy day, I have finally finished the major grinding jobs. The hole to the aft cabin has been complete ground through, the generator bed has been removed, and the disused tanks have also been removed. I now have a complete run through the boat and have a empty engine room to lay some flooring down. There are only a few jobs left for the grinder now, these being the piece of metal as I go down the stairs, the brackets that hold the tanks with the cupboard underneath and a few lugs and brackets that need taking away.
Also looking forward to getting the scrap away and having space around the boat.

Sunshine....
The sun was out so I thought it would be a good idea to get the hatch sealed up today, just in time as It is chucking it down with rain as I type this. But what a job that was, the engine hatch has been slightly buckled so trying to get the bolt holes lined up was a mammoth task, plus the fact off the 80ish nuts, bolts and washers to install (well 40 as didn't have enough in stock) so will be carrying on with the bolts tomorrow providing the weather is better.
The good news with the terrible weather is that I have pinpointed the major leaks so again once the weather improves I can crack on with sealing her all up.
Tomorrows job list has just got bigger, bummer.... Still got the plumbing to do and screw down the last bits of floor........................ To be continued

Space .....
The scrap has gone finally, happy days.
I can now start to clear the aft cabin and crack on with the list of jobs to do this week.
First off, I want to relocate the 24v transformer into the engine room and also move the consumer box below deck,
Then I need to remove the top of the desk to gain access to the top of the tank so I can grind the water filler pipe off,
That means I can then get on to fitting the booster pump and fit the plumbing,
After the plumbing is sorted I will then start cleaning the aft cabin bilge and prep it ready for vactan (rust converter) and red oxide primer then a nice coat of two pack grey paint.
Then it's a case of fitting the flooring and planning how the bedroom will work with a en suit.
A busy week ahead.

Progress....
We have progress, the floor in the engine room is nearly finished and I managed to drop the appliances in so I have a functional kitchen, it's getting a bit more homely. I also managed with help to get most of the scrap out of the aft cabin onto the stern of the boat ready for the scrap run tomorrow, just two bits to go. Got my clothes on board now and also got the tv and laptop all setup so I can chill out and watch some films in the evening. It's been a busy weekend but slowly the boat is getting a lot more homely.

Rush......
Today has been abit manic to say the least.
I spent all yesterday cleaning out the house I was living In (fun). And today I started by removing all the diesel and lubricant pipes that were next to the tank, which made a lovely mess, and the cupboard was removed to free up some space. Then I thought it would be a good idea to get some of the scrap out from the rear rope locker, what a mistake that was, after lifting the first of four cast iron cylinder heads which way a tonne I thought why am I doing this on my own, after the forth cylinder head was out I then decided it would be a good idea to get the anchor from the same place and put it on the deck, that was really heavy and I also need a new pair of jeans as I have ripped a massive slit in them. The. Once that was done I had to get some description of flooring in the engine room so the dogs and walk in. Well me and the dog are in bed now but my backs in agony after all the lifting. Not good.

What a day.....
It's been a strange day today, first off it was more rigging ropes ready for the big move, then a nervous feeling devolving in my stomach! The time had come to finally move the boat to its new mooring over 7 boats up stream. The nerves soon disappeared when we unhooked the mooring line and the bow started drifting out. Panic! The stern was stuck in the mud. Push push push, and then all of a sudden she let loose, all be it the wrong way round but we where making way. The original plan was to go stern facing upstream but it suited better in the end going the other way. So with the help of 6 people and me we managed to pull her all the way up with little trouble, RESULT! And she is sitting beautifully in her new position and access is a lot easier. Now all the rubbish and scrap can be off loaded. The real work can start now, so watch this space.
Also learnt a bit about mooring lines and Tying up today.
A massive thank you to ken, Euan, Claire, Simon, Mark, Joce and Paul for all the help they provided today. Couldn't of done it without you.

A little quiet time....
After all the grinding today I decided to have a break and get the buffers all tied up ready for the move tomorrow. From midday tomorrow we will be pulling the boat onto another mooring so that access will be easier, slightly nerve racking that if its not controlled then the boat could run its own course for the bridge (keeping my finger crossed). Managed to get a rope from two boats away tied up ready today so should al be running to plan.
Keep on grinding
I am getting bored of grinding now. Well the aft cabin is nearly through, one more cut to do with the small grinder then off it comes. Just the generator bed and the piece blocking the stairs to go.
